Do you know how lately everyone has been reaping rewards from the unrelenting stream of north Atlantic swell? First there were all of those crazy Irish slab sessions (see next issue). Then Tim went up to Scotland to shoot what has been dubbed by another magazine as a 'new British super slab' (only it isn't new folks - that's hype for you) And finally there was the hefty weekend when our new ad maestro Duncan Scott and fellow chargers Andrew Cotton, Al Mennie, Paul o' Kane and Mikee Hamilton towed horrific looking Mullaghmore.Well, in the midst of all of this happening I decided to bail on it all to go to the Med in a vain attempt to score surf. This paid off dividends. Not in a throaty, top to bottom barrels sense, more in the discovery that Sardinia actually has proper waves. Indeed, my ignorance about 'wind swell' was duly crushed because for the entirety of the trip we had a quality of surf that puts the majority of England and Wales to shame. Here are a few sneak previews for y' all to feast your pork pies on.

I'm a scotish local and can vouch that the slab has been surfed plenty of times, just not with the aid of jet skis. Looking forward to seeing the med stuff!

How can you say some where has never be surfed. How do u know and who are you to say. There is hidden surfing gold in this world just some don't want to shout about and ruin what is sacred for local Surfers who were surfing it before you were born.Respect the locals.......word
