English surfing super-stars Oli Adams, Johnny Fryer, Reubyn Ash, Sam Lamiroy and Tom Butler were showing their supremacy in the early rounds but as the conditions got tougher with howling northerlies, the kids started to assert their claim to glory. North Devon pair Stuart Campbell and Lyndon Wake made the final along with Newquay dark horse Tom Earl but it was St. Ives wonder kid Jayce Robinson who dominated the final to take his first major title and serve notice that their may be a changing of the guard. Sarah Beardmore took the women’s title at the English National Surfing Championships in Newquay over the bank holiday weekend. Robinson bags Open title.
