Quiksilver is pleased to announce that Mitch Corbett has signed to join the UK Surf team. Mitch is known to be one of the UK's new big wave chargers and shows no signs of holding back. Spencer Hargraves, Quiksilver UK Surf Team Manager explains why he has got him on-board:
"During the last 12 months Mitch has gone from strength to strength. Quiksilver is happy to support him in chasing the biggest and heaviest waves not just in the UK & Ireland but around the world too!"
Mitch has already made a name for himself around the surf industry, chasing waves and working very closely with media and photographers to gain coverage. He is a perfect fit to the team and a great addition, as Quiksilver takes pride in supporting serious surfers who are at the top of their game.
"I am extremely happy to have the support from Quiksilver and really excited to be able to concentrate on getting amongst the type of waves that get my heart racing! I love nothing more than getting barrelled and finding new waves and feel so lucky that our coastlines can produce such quality. I have just overcome an injury that almost took my life and now have a mind-set that makes me try to make the most out of every day, in whatever shape it comes in. Hopefully big long barrels.
