Coastal Connections Beach Clean/ South Wales

Coastal connections is a beach school and environmental project. From September they are taking the Ashgrove School, South Wales to the beach supporting their local environment through beach cleans and raising awareness. They recycle as much of the collected rubbish as they can, with support from SAS who are coming to visit in them in autumn. Surfing is definetly on the agenda all the children are up for it and regardless of abilities they can all be involved. Other autisitic groups have used surfing to support individuals with self esteem, confidence, to develop sense of belonging/community etc, to channel behaviours, offer focus and obviously develop a skill, be healthy. The beach is a beautiful place, let's all try and keep it that way by cleaning it up like these guys.
