As the tide pushed in concentrating the crowded beach into a small stretch of sand, the finals went off with some impressive surfing from the next generation of rippers. St Ives prodigy Harry De Roth took the Under 12s catagory, but was held off by Liam Murray Strout who won the Under 14s. Peony Knight from Devon got first in the Under 16 girls, whilst Laura Crane got the Under 18s title. In the boys, Luke Dillon made history by becoming the first person in like fooking ages to win both the Under 16s and the Under 18s. Read more about Luke's victory in the next issue of the Length!
