Rip Curl & Hawaiian Tropic Girls Tour

Tahitian Longboarder Hanalei Reponty and The Rip Curl & Hawaiian Tropic Girls Tour is back to rip up the beach! 5 countries, 11 mythical spots of music and surfing themed fun days and nights and concerts on the beach.
Since its beginnings, the Girls Tour has been all about passing on Rip Curl’s passion for surfing and the values that make the sport what it is and Hanalei will be on hand alongside certified instructors to provide free Surfing lessons and her surfing tips at both the UK tour legs in Newquay (10th/11th July) and Bournemouth (13th/14th July). Staying loyal to their values, Rip Curl have added music to the program, the Search takes on a whole new dimension with a free DJ Workshop, where a team of experienced female DJs will teach surfers how to spin some tunes on the decks.
After a long and hard day at the beach, the fun doesn’t stop there! As the sun goes down on the first night of each tour stop, you can grab a drink from the cocktail bar and join the sunset beach session with DJ Elisa Do Brasil who will hit the decks. Keep the fun going, with your feet in the still warm sand, listening to the sounds of a very famous female DJ.
Launching next week you can find out all about Hanalei and the Surfing & Music goings-on at www.girlstour2010.com , an interactive website where a digital mixing deck will enable visitors to mix Hawaiian Tropic’s sounds (ukulele, waves…), with Rip Curl’s rock rhythms (electric guitar, drums…). to create your own tunes, record them, and send them to their Facebook page to obtain as many votes as possible! The highest scoring entries can win all sorts of goodies… including a weekend away with the girls to one of the tour stops!
