The Student Surf Tour heads to Watergate Bay over the weekend of January 20-22nd for the second round of thier national university surf tour
After the first round went down a storm in Porthcawl, Wales, the New Year sees teams from Falmouth, Plymouth, UWE, and more seeking to knock Cardiff from the top spot in the league table.
European Longboard Champion Ben Skinner's company Skindog Surfboards have provided the top prize of a 6'0 Dumpster Surfboard for 1st place in the Men's Division, while the Women's winner takes home a brand new Summer Wetsuit courtesy of Gul!
The rest of the club won't go home empty handed, Relentless Energy Drink are offering a years supply for the team showing the greatest 'team spirit'... Whatever that means, but surfing in fancy dress always goes down well! Boardmasters tickets are also up for grabs! More prizes will be announced in the run up to the event.
The competition costs £22 to enter, and takes place over the Saturday and Sunday at Watergate Bay. Accommodation in Newquay is being provided by Reef Surf Lodge at a fantastic student rate of just £20 for the whole weekend.
Competitors are entitled to a weekend wristband as well as any spectators staying at Reef Surf Lodge which gets you free entry to Chy bar on Friday for some Relentless themed madness, and the after party at Sailors on Saturday; who are also providing half price food all weekend for wristband wearers! Students, surfing and partying on the cheap... Do you need any more encouragement?!
