SURF SHOP BRANDS LEAD THE WAY WITH ECO-FRIENDLY SOLUTIONS
With increasing demand from consumers for 'green' products, and a constant pressure on manufacturers to reduce their carbon footprint and to find environmentally and eco-friendly alternatives to processes and raw materials, select brands at Surf Shop 2008 are focusing on doing just that.......

Little Green Rock are using Surf Shop as the launch pad for their pioneering bamboo & organic cotton heavyweight twill trousers and shorts. First was organic cotton – an eco alternative to cotton grown with pesticides and now there is bamboo, taking eco a step further with its organic, hypo-allergenic, anti-bacterial, breathable and super soft properties.

Protest have expanded their eco-line range with eco fabric shorts made from recycled polyester (old PET bottles) and Solar Technology introduce the new FreeLoader 8.0, a lean, ‘green’, portable charging machine. Using solar energy the FreeLoader 8.0 provides an environmentally friendly, free way to charge hand-held gadgets and help off-set carbon emissions.
New for 2008 are Funky Puffin. Nominated for a Green Wave Award by readers of Surfer’s Path magazine they are best known for their eco friendly surf wax. Their new wax launching towards the end of 2008, uses natural products and eco packaging. These are just a few select highlights of what is on offer at Surf Shop 2008. If you are keen to source eco-friendly products then Surf Shop is the place to find them along with the usual array of hardware, streetwear, new and niche lines and big named brands. Free to visit.
