Europe’s leading surf travel company, Errant, has just announced a new deal which will see Surf Tech sponsor all advanced and intermediate coaching courses held in Newquay, Cornwall over the coming year.
Errant and it’s sister company 121 Surf Coach have provided intermediate and advanced surfers with informative, innovative short courses for over the last three years. The most popular courses are the Longboard and Fast Track weekends, as well as the NARS Beach Lifeguard awards. Surf Tech recognises the importance of this style of coaching in such a competitive and demanding sport as surfing. Surf Tech combines the latest shapes from around the world with ground breaking new technology to produce some of the most responsive and durable surfboards on the market today. Errant’s UK manager Zoey Cotton commented “We are over the moon to have such a pioneering brand behind our surf coaching programmes and beach lifeguard courses” Two long board coaching weekends are due to take place on the September 15th and 16th and October 13th and 14th 2007. The courses run from Newquay are led by Fat Face team rider Chris Thomson. The long board weekends will delve into areas such as nose riding, generating speed, turning, drop-knee turns, paddling out back and Oceanography. Simon Lawson from Science in Sport will also be on hand to provide invaluable advice on fitness in surfing and nutrition.
