Cubert's Andrew Griffin is recovering in hospital after breaking his back at La Piste in Hossegor last week.  The 21 year old Quiksilver team rider pulled into a close out barrel and landed awkwardly on his head whilst shooting photo's last Thursday.Fortunately, Andrew wasn't paralysed in the incident but doctors informed us that if he hit the sand any harder the consequences could've been far more severe. At time of writting he is recovering in a Bayonne hospital and is scheduled to be discharged this week but faces a lengthy three month stint out of the water. Check issue 162 for the full story.
