Dear reader.
We sincerely hope that issue 190 served you well and within its hallowed pages you found joy, laughter and above all, overwhelming inspiration. We also hope that you read it from cover to cover with fervour, and because you loved it so much, you passed it on to all of your family and friends, before finally asking for it back to indulge yourself for a re-read.
But as much as it pains us to say, it’s time to let go. Walk toward the light peacefully. Don’t be sad - it’s fine. Things will be alright because issue 191 has just been born. We promise you that once you delve inside, issue 190 will be nothing but a distant, yet fond memory – a chapter in your life which, in years to come you’ll look back on with a smile.

They say time is a healer and we assure you the grieving process will be short. Issue 191 will see to that – inside are lots of reasons to smile; our behemoth 2010 Board Bible, the first instalment of Greg Martin’s quest to find waves in every surfable county in the UK, a profile on Irish-Aussie Glenn Hall as well as an in depth look into the minds of a special group of surfers brought together from varying walks of life. No doubt you will fall deeply and madly in love with 191, just as you did when 190 fell into your hands. You’ll cherish it and caress it and when it’s time to say goodbye, you’ll grieve and fall in love again, and the cycle continues.

Yours truly,
Wavelength x

  • JLC  - About time
About time there was a decent british board guide.Nice one.
Like the fact that your reviewers are from all walks of life too not just a bunch of pro's waffling on. Defo made me want to try a new shape for this summer.
    Good read too. Cheers guys.
  • wet n dry  - mr wet
I agree, with above.... Nice to see some normal joes testing the boards along side some pros in british waves, well done guys.
Might even get a new stick based on what I've read. Do I get a discount if I mention the guide to the shapers??????
  • Hacker  - Demo boards
Think it worth a mention that some places have got demo boards. ie you can hire a board and that'll give you a good idea of what you'd like to buy. I know www.escapesurfboards.com do and i think Tunnel Vision in Newquay used to. Any others ??
