has Wavelength ever done a Goose chase to holland ? we're over there for a wedding, I take it thats its a long shot to get a decent wave but fancy taking the new custom surfboard over anyway, just incase!!
Yep sure did, back in the day... think sharpy shot it, will try and dig it out. Not sure the waves were up to much.
In the end I didn't take my surfboard as after checking the forecast and seeing the best I was likely to get was a 6 second period. It was a bit of a hasty decision because as it goes the crew here look at 6 sec period is pretty good ! Not only that but a fair part of main land Europe that hasnt got their own beaches will make the journey up as well. Luckily for me my friend had a Twin Keel I could borrow and we had a pretty good session at Domburg in Zeeland. Also managed to get my mug in a couple of pics on a local surf photographers website so am now a face of the Dutch surf scene Surfing Domburg Zeeland .Its pretty refreshing to see the passion of surfers that put in a lot of effort for waves that may not be the best in the world but they make do with what they get. And when there are waves your bound to see a lot of smiling faces. :))
