Hi All

Having had a few lessons this summer and getting myself a board, I want to improve through the winter and my local surf is Bigbury and Bantham. I'm not looking for instruction (yet), just someone who can point me in the right direction on the beaches till I get the hang of knowing what I'm looking for and progress with my (at the moment not good) surfing. And I'll stay out of your way in the water too!

Cheers

check out www.discoverysurf.com they seem to be all over bigbury, bantham. Also get a board with plenty of volume (foam), you will progress much faster with a bigger board with more float than a toothpick.

Hi and welcome to surfing and the forums.

Wanna Surf is a pretty good source for finding out about breaks .  Check their page on South Devon http://www.wannasurf.com/spot/Europe/UK/Devon_South/index.html  - on the table of 'surf spots' in the final column they have a box for surfer level.  that should help you out :)
